Watercolour Bookmark For an 8 Yr Old

So I’ve finally finished the handmade bookmark for my son.  Yay!  He was really pleased with it and is already enjoying using it.

Here’s what it looks like now that it’s finished:

I suggested that he choose his own ribbon and he chose one that had ‘with love’ printed on it  I decided to laminate it in the hopes that it would last a bit longer and not get bent and broken too quickly but my son assures me that he knows how much work I put into it and that he will look after it.  I won’t hold it against him if he can’t though as it will give me an excuse to make another one for him!

My Children’s Drawings

Hi all,

I decided that I’d like to share some drawings that my children created recently.  They love to join in when they see me drawing and painting and I think my 7 year old son is developing a real talent for art.

He enjoys making me little drawings to welcome me home when I’ve been away or to say that he loves me  – which may not last for long so I’m gonna soak it up while I can!  His drawings make me smile as they’re often very cute and cheerful.

and she shows me that making art can be a bit messy and there’s nothing wrong with that!
