One Way to Recycle Scrap Paper

I thought I’d share one of my ways of using up bits of scrap paper that are too small or too odd a shape to do much with.   I get my smallest paper punches and have a punching session!  These punched out shapes are great as embellishments for when I’m making my cards, bookmarks and ATCs.

Here’s what my current stash looks like:

I’m always adding more as I try to reduce the amount of mess in my scrap paper drawer which currently looks like this:

Hopefully this has given you one way to recycle some of your scrap paper that you might normally throw away.

UK Handmade ATC Swap

Last month I took part in the UK Handmade ATC Swap and it was really fun to create and swap with other UK crafters.  One of things I’ve enjoyed the most is seeing how the theme of Trees and Plants was interpreted by those who had different craft abilities than me.  We were each given a swap partner and had to make our ATCs and send off by the end of the month.  We were each partnered with two others – one we sent our ATC to and one other who was sending one to us.

My recipient was Jenny McCabe who is an artist from the Northwest of England.  Her etsy shop is here where she sells a mixture of handmade goods like this gorgeous fabric storage container.  This is the ATC that I sent her:

I received a wonderful ATC from Victoria Belcher from Giddystuff who sells lovely jewellery in her Folksy shop.  I love this Dorothy Ring of hers.  Here is the ATC that she sent me plus a pair of laser cut wood earrings, both of which I love!

There is a new swap for April with the theme of Songs.  Here is where you sign up if you’d like to take part.
